Sanitation drive in Surkhet speeds up

17th May 2013

Kalyan Village Development Committee (VDC) was declared the Open Defecation Free (ODF) zone on 8th May amidst a grand public function in Surkhet district. It was the 21st village in Surkhet to be declared ODF under the Su-SWASTHA project implemented by Environment and Public Health organization (ENPHO) with the financial support of USAID and EaWAG.

Kaprichaur VDC: 20th ODF VDC of Surkhet District

Kaprichaur VDC has been declared ODF on 23rd April 2013 under the SuSwastha Project implemented by ENPHO and supported by USAID and EAWAG. This has been the 20th VDC to declare ODF at Surkhet District in joint coordination with local development bodies like VDC, DDC, RMSO, DPHO and DEO.
