Promotion of Rain Water Harvesting System

rainharvesting-systemIn the past year, ENPHO continued to promote RWHS in collaboration with various partners and agencies. RWHS in two households at Bhalakhalak village, Bhaktapur were installed in collaboration with Nepal Engineering College. Similarly, a RWHS was installed at Jyoti Secondary School at Gundu VDC which is one of the project activities within WaterAid Nepal agreement. Two RWHS were also installed in two schools at Bajhang with support from SIMAVI and local communities. ENPHO has been also working with NGO Forum for Water and Sanitation to promote RWHS in Kathmandu Valley and has been also advocating RWHS as water optimization technology at various events and forums.

Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) in collaboration with CREEW, The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) and other partners has organized the 3rd National Symposium on “Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Management of Groundwater Resources of the Kathmandu Valley” on 22nd March 2012 in the occasion of World Water Day 2012.
