The SSWRMNA project is financially supported by GTZ under Public Private Partnership (PPP) component and the main aim of project is to improve local capacity through consolidating and mainstreaming the efforts in the area of sustainable ecological sanitation and water resource management. The project partners have been working together to develop Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management (SSWM) toolbox - a decision support toolbox for practitioners at local level which comprises factsheets, information, useful documents and web links on Sustainable Sanitation and Integrated Water Resources Management. The project has also planned to conduct a 10 Days SSWM Expert Training Course, a 4 Days SSWM TOT and a 4 Days Hands-on personals trainings to relevant groups and practitioners in Philippines, India and Nepal. More than 200 UDT pans have been distributed to households and supported to establish a school based UDT toilet at Darechowk, Chitwan as a part of SSWM initiatives. These initiatives have helped to declare Darechowk as Open Defecation Free VDC
