action research on Urine and Nutritent RecyclingENPHO in collaboration with the Central Horticulture Center (CHC) has been conducting a research on application of organic fertilizer particularly human urine and Vermicompost on the fruit sapling (Lemon seeds).The experiments were done at CHC as well as at the farmer plot in Gundu VDC.

At Gundu farmer plot, experiments were done on different agriculture productivity. In this year the researches from the both sites showed that the combination of urine and vermi compost gave better results compared to other fertilizers. But the experiments concluded that the research need further continuation for at least five year to get the actual effect of urine in agriculture productivity. Currently the application of urine in lemon seeds is being studied in the field through drip irrigation system.

Kaprichaur VDC: 20th ODF VDC of Surkhet District

Kaprichaur VDC has been declared ODF on 23rd April 2013 under the SuSwastha Project implemented by ENPHO and supported by USAID and EAWAG. This has been the 20th VDC to declare ODF at Surkhet District in joint coordination with local development bodies like VDC, DDC, RMSO, DPHO and DEO.
